Event Guidelines

How to Add Events

Once you Log in to your account and go to the calendar, click on the "Create New Event" button at the top which will take you to the new event setup. From here you can enter the event details.

Alternatively, once logged in, you can click the 'Add Event' shortcut from your homepage.

If adding an image, it has to be GIF, JPG/JPEG or PNG format. The recommend image size is a maximum of 800 pixels wide and 300-400 pixels high.

NOTE: Google's syncing can be delayed by up to 24 hours & your listing will need to be approved before it is visible. Please take this into consideration and allow enough time before your event for sync delays and administrator approval.

Terms for Adding Events to the Calendar

Submission and Credit Management:

1. Companies interested in listing their events require active credits, which can be purchased here.
2. Credits are valid for 12 months and once an event is submitted and approved, the listing credit is considered used as they are redeemed based on the administration involved in approving the listing.
3. Credits that remain unused within the 12-month period will not roll over: they will expire.
4. If the event is cancelled by the organiser after it is approved, the listing credit will not be refunded or credited back as it is considered used.

Submission Review and Maintenance:

5. All event submissions will be subject to approval by Iron Out to ensure compliance with guidelines; incomplete submissions and those lacking necessary information will not be accepted.
6. Iron Out reserves the right to review and re-evaluate listed events periodically: any events that have been changed and no longer meet the guidelines may be removed without notice.
7. Iron Out reserves the right to change Event Guidelines at any time for continual improvement and better user experience. Iron Out may amend these terms at any time by posting the amended terms on this site. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

Communication and Queries:
8. Iron Out will not address any queries regarding listed events on behalf of the event organiser- event organisers are responsible for managing enquiries and communication related to their events.

On-Demand Video Listings:
9. On-demand videos listings are limited to once per quarter, per video. This is to avoid repetition and are to be listed on set days (Tuesdays/Wednesdays) for a better user experience for calendar subscribers.
10. The duration of the event should match the recording's length accurately (do not create an all day event for recordings).

Ethical Conduct and Compliance:
11. Companies are required to conduct all activities related to event listing administration with professionalism, integrity, and ethical behaviour, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
12. Events and their respective listings must adhere to ethical and legal standards: any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or violating any laws will not be approved.
13. Companies must ensure that all event listings provided are accurate, truthful, and free from misinformation- avoiding exaggeration or misleading descriptions of events. Companies must take accountability for listings and address any errors or discrepancies transparently and promptly.

Additional Clarity and Information:
14. Companies are encouraged to provide clarity on whether Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificates will be issued.

Compliance Enforcement:
15. Non-compliance with guidelines may result in non acceptance, the removal of events, and where ethical conduct is breached, non-compliance with guidelines may result in suspension or termination of event listing privileges.
